Canada Day, Banff

It is Canada Day. All over Canada there will be pancake breakfasts, music in the parks, parades and fireworks. Banff is no exception..

We are About Canada, but on Canada Day wanted to show you some quintessentially Canadian pieces in the form of our Canadian Pacific vintage prints.

My particular favourite is the Immigration print.

For your information:

The Immigration poster displayed at Pier 21, Halifax.

Pier 21 is Canada`s Immigration Museum, and tells the stories of countless migrants who travelled across the Atlantic to help build this nation of immigrants.

It is said that one in five Canadians has a direct link to Pier 21. The facility is often compared to Ellis Island, in the States, although this term is also used to describe the immigration station at Grosse Isle, Quebec. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1997, and officially became a National Museum of Canada in 2011.
